Are the Titans eyeing a new QB in free agency?

What recent reports say.

For those that don't think that Mettenberger is an option for the future, you may have another answer (I don't know if you will like it though).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Report: Texans, Titans likely among teams which will pursue Brian Hoyer if he gets to free agency <a href="http://t.co/ukqMdglUHy">http://t.co/ukqMdglUHy</a></p>&mdash; ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) <a href="https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/534015987801415680">November 16, 2014</a></blockquote>

It looks like there is at least some interest. Some of this looks like just writers assuming that the Titans will need a QB and that they will look that way. While it is mostly speculation, it does make sense:

-The Titans are one of a few teams that has seen Hoyer up close

-They want a QB that can win games without elite talent (something Tennessee and Cleveland have in common).

-They both (ideally) use an offense that should exploit teams up the middle with small receivers and tight ends, and leave the rest to a RBBC backfield.

But, if that isn't your cup of tea...there is always this...

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Bears could trade Jay Cutler after this season and actually save $12.5 million against their cap. Other teams will have interest in Cutler.</p>&mdash; Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) <a href="https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/534006673523085312">November 16, 2014</a></blockquote>
