Between The Posts: Titans In Turmoil

Your nightly OT open thread.

The Tennessee Titans are in a tough place. With the recent news of Bernard Pollard's season ending achilles injury, yet more burden has been placed upon a team desperate for players to step up. With a string of what can only be described as humiliating losses, fans are left to question whether or not management made the right call with the new hires.

While I will always call for objective evaluation, the questions as they relate to coaching, even only five games in, are valid ones. We knew the transition to the 3-4 on defense might take some time. We knew that Whisenhunt was bringing a new offensive system with him as well. But as fans we have been led to believe that this team had the talent to be respectable even in this transition period.

So far, its obvious that this was never the case. With multiple pieces of the team either struggling or sidelined with injuries, its time to evaluate the young talent on this team; including guys like Daimion Stafford, DaQuan Jones, Avery Williamson (whos been seeing more snaps of late), Bishop Sankey, and yes Zach Mettenberger.

With the vision for the future seemingly in a blurry state, knowing where the team stands is more important than ever.
