So first off, fantastic run by Jake Locker. He showed off the great wheels that he has on this play, and it is plays like this where he shows good awareness and athleticism that make you believe he could be special.
That is not the point of this post, however. The point of this post is the ridiculous cheap shot that Chris Kirksey put on Locker in the end zone. You wouldn't even know who Kirksey was had he not been the "Tiny Titan" in a Madden glitch when the game was released.
Anyway, the cheap shot drew a flag, with good reason, but why is he not ejected from the game? The NFL is supposed to be cracking down on shots to the head. We see ridiculous flags every week for defensive backs making tackles. Here you have a play where a guy blatantly puts a forearm into a guys head when he is about 5 yards into the end zone.
Kirksey doesn't even have the excuse of saying he didn't know where he was on the field. He was getting blocked in the end zone. Leon Washington stopped blocking him because the play was over, yet Kirksey still took a shot at Locker's head. This should have drawn an ejection.
