It was just a rumor earlier, but the Titans will indeed start Zach Mettenberger on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean is reporting that Zach was told Tuesday, and that is why Whitehurst and Locker were unavailable for the media today.

It is great that we have finally decided to go ahead and look at the future and give it an extended look with Mett at the helm. It also signals the permanent end of the Jake Locker era, which was riddled with inconsistency and injury, despite him being an All-World human being.

Everyone needs to be praying that Mett is the QB savior of this franchise, so that we can go ahead and draft all defense in the draft and get some genuine blue chip players around Jurrell Casey.

Sunday marks the beginning of an era. Lets hope its a good one.
