Jake Locker Practices but Doesn't Talk to the Media

New, comments

Titans QB Jake Locker was back on the practice field today, but he skipped his usual Wednesday media session.

Jake Locker has talked to the media every Wednesday this season according to Jim Wyatt.  Locker even talked on Wednesdays in the weeks where it was pretty clear that he wasn't going to play because of injury.  Today was different.  Today neither Locker nor Charlie Whitehurst were made available to talk to the media.

Ken Whisenhunt said Locker will talk to the media tomorrow when there is more clarity about his situation, yet he was a full participant in practice today- at least during the open portion.  This may or may not mean anything, but it is certainly weird.

I hope this means that there is going to be an announcement at some point this week that Zach Mettenberger will be the starting quarterback for the Titans on Sunday.  I don't think that is what this means, but it would be awesome.

In other injury news, Coty Sensabaugh and Quentin Groves did not practice.  Shonn Greene, Taylor Thompson and Ropati Pitoitua were all limited.  It would be really nice to have all of those guys back on the field this week.
