Jake Locker Injury Update: Titans QB to Throw on Tuesday

The Tennessee Titans hope to get Jake Locker back under center this week.

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

Ken Whisenhunt said at his weekly press conference that the Titans will have injured quarterback Jake Locker throw on Tuesday.  They will then see how his hand/thumb responds on Wednesday.  That will determine how the proceed during the week.

So it sounds like we will learn a lot from Locker's participation in practice on Wednesday.  He should play if he is a full go.

Whiz also reiterated that Locker is his starting quarterback when healthy.  That is all well and good for this week, but that needs to change after the bye.  He needs to turn the reigns over to Zach Mettenberger at that point.

It sounds like the only new injuries from Washington were Shaun Phillips, who has a hip injury, and Quentin Groves, who has an ankle injury.
