Mike Zimmer is not a Bobby Petrino fan; Jommy is a big Mike Zimmer fan

You want a motivator? My guess is that Mike Zimmer is a pretty dang good motivator.

Mike Zimmer is officially the guy I want the Tennessee Titans to hire. I was listening to Greg Cosell on The Midday 180 today, and he really likes Zimmer. That is a big endorsement because Cosell is one of the best film study guys in the media.

Here is what of Cosell had to say on the show (via Paul Kuharksy):

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>.<a href="https://twitter.com/gregcosell">@gregcosell</a> on <a href="https://twitter.com/Midday180">@Midday180</a>: &quot; Not sure there is a coach in the NFL who more consistently gets free rushers at QBs in the NFL than Zimmer.&quot;</p>&mdash; Paul Kuharsky (@PaulKuharskyNFL) <a href="https://twitter.com/PaulKuharskyNFL/statuses/421000651313655808">January 8, 2014</a></blockquote>

I like the sound of that.

Another reason to like Zimmer is what he had to say about Bobby Petrino. Zimmer was Petrino's defensive coordinator with the Atlanta Falcons in 2007. Here is what he had to say about Petrino leaving with 3 games left in the season (via Cincinnati.com):

"He is a coward. Put that in quotes. He ruined a bunch of people’s lives, a bunch of people’s families, kids, because he didn’t have enough nuts to stay there and finish the job. That’s the truth."

Love this guy. Make it happen, Ruston!
