That is Ian Rapoport reporting that Ken Whisenhunt is a guy the Tennessee Titans are interested in. Whisenhunt has ties to Nashville as he coached at Vanderbilt back in the mid-90's. He has a good track record as an offensive coordinator, currently with the San Diego Chargers.
The Titans would not be able to interview him until the Chargers are eliminated from the playoffs.
He was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2007-2012. He led the Cardinals to the Super Bowl in 2008. His problems in Arizona started when he couldn't find a quarterback after Kurt Warner retired.
There is no doubt in my mind that Whisenhunt can run a successful offense with the right quarterback. The biggest question for me is who would be on his defensive staff. He needs to be able to bring in a strong defensive coordinator.
