Jeff Fisher always has his guys, and Gregg Williams is one of those guys. It should come as no surprise that Fisher has hired Williams to be his defensive coordinator.
That being said, it is obviously a good hire. It is hard to say how the defensive responsibilities were divided in Tennessee last season, but to me, it looked like Williams had a lot more say in the beginning of the year. That is when the defense was attacking and looked like a top-ten unit. Later in the year they looked more like the Jerry Gray defenses that sat back and waited to be attacked.
I will never forget watching Williams captivate the attention of guys like Chris Johnson and Kenny Britt at the Mike Munchak bowling event last year. There is no doubt that he is a leader of men and no doubt that he will help make the Rams defense better.
