2014 NFL Mock Draft: Two round mock draft from Mocking the Draft

It is getting to be that time of year where start to get multiple rounds in NFL mock drafts. Today we look at a 2 round mock and where the Tennessee Titans go.

Ronald Martinez

Matthew Fairburn of Mocking the Draft fame has put out another mock draft, and this time the Titans aren't taking a tackle.  This time they are taking C.J. Mosley, LB, Alabama.  Now you all know that I love me some Mosley, but taking an Alabama linebacker does scare me a little bit.  There are so many good players on that defense that it is easy for some guys to look better than they are.

With that being said, people have nothing but good things to say about Mosley- especially when it comes to his preparation.  Just look at the SEC Championship game against Georgia.  On the last play of that game, Mosley knew where the Aaron Murray was going to go with the ball before he threw it.  That allowed Mosley to tip the ball and keep it from reaching the end zone.

Here is what Fairburn had to say about the pick:

While Tennessee has been stockpiling speedy outside linebackers, inside linebacker remains a big hole on its defense. Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley seems to be slipping a bit after an underwhelming end to his senior season. Still, he's rarely taken out of position and his ability to play sideline to sideline would fit nicely with what the Titans have looked for in their linebackers.

Fairburn went above and beyond this week to provide us with a second round. In that second round, he has the Titans taking Lamarcus Joyner, S, Florida. Here is what he had to say:

Lamarcus Joyner has experience playing both safety and cornerback at Florida State. His versatility would be an asset for the Titans, who could use a safety with the ability to play in coverage.

The Titans need to get a young safety that can actually play in this draft. Even if they re-sign Bernard Pollard and keep Michael Griffin, they still need some depth at the position.
