Welcome to the 2014 Reese's Senior Bowl Week!

The week that will begin the journey to the draft has started for many of this year's top college seniors. Day 1 is a relatively light day as weigh-ins and measurements are taken and practices begin for both sides in the afternoon. It's always interesting to see the weigh-in results because it proves which schools tell the truth or lie about measurements. Players began arriving on Saturday night and continued to do so on Sunday evening. Here are some of the more pertinent details;

Location: Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Alabama

When: Saturday January 25, 2014

TV: 4 PM NFL Network

Rosters:

North

South

My thoughts:

I find it really interesting that Alabama QB AJ McCarron decided to skip out on the proceedings considering that he isn't a first round lock nor possesses any elite tools that make an NFL QB. He really could have won over scouts by coming to Mobile. It seems like that he's ducking the competition. In his stead, EIU QB Jimmy Garopollo is on the roster. I'm really interested in seeing Garopollo compete at the biggest event of the draft process with better talent. Tennessee product DT Daniel McCullers won the title for heaviest by the way with 6'6 348. Also in some weird geographic mix-up, Clemson QB Tajh Boyd is on the North roster and Garopollo is on the South team. I'll have a recap post up later today.
