NFL playoff schedule 2014: Kickoff time for 49ers-Seahawks, Patriots-Broncos

Welcome to NFL Championship Sunday. Get all of the information you need to know about the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos, and the NFC Championship Game between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.

USA TODAY Sports

Today is one of the most exciting days in the NFL season.  Two teams will get their tickets punched to the Super Bowl.  It doesn't get much better than that.

Today's games have some especially intriguing story lines.  You have the best two quarterbacks of this era facing off in the AFC Championship game.  Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have been facing each other in elimination games for a long time.  Who will come out on top this time?

The NFC Championship game features two of the toughest teams in football (just ask the Titans).  These teams are both built around strong running games and really good defense.  They are also divisional rivals, which means the game will probably be chippy from the beginning.  If you consider yourself a football purist, this is the game for you.

So as a fan of the game of football, it doesn't get much better than these two games!
