Browns grant Ray Horton permission to speak with other teams

The Cleveland Browns have given Ray Horton permission to interview with other teams. Ken Whisenhunt should be on the phone with him right now.

Hopefully Ken Whisenhunt made a call to Ray Horton before the press conference started with the news that the Browns are going to let him out of his contact- even for a lateral position. That would be a home run hire for Whisenhunt.

Kevin Butler was the name that was thrown out there last night. I don't hate that because he has spent so much time learning from Dick LeBeau, but Horton is the obvious choice here.

Hiring either guy would mean the Titans would eventually move to a 3-4. My guess is that you would see some hybrid stuff this season because of the personnel, but the eventual goal would be 3-4. Jommy likes that.
