Which five players could the Titans add to their roster this offseason? Here are the five biggest names playing today.
1. Greg Hardy DE, Carolina
The former Ole Miss standout absolutely hit his stride in the final weeks of the preseason accumulating seven sacks in the last two games. Hardy will be looking for big money, and if he can keep this momentum going into next year he will deserve the paycheck.
2. Sean Phillips DE/OLB, Denver
If the Titans are considering adding a cheaper pass rusher, Phillips may fit the bill. Phillips is a standup defensive end that won't play every down, but as he showed this year he can be a valuable sub-package player.
3. Knowshon Moreno RB, Denver
Moreno is an average running back that gets exactly what he is given. While the Titans have a similar guy in Shonn Greene, this team needs another workhorse running back that can grind out the tough yards not just wait for the big play...like some RBs...
4. Anquan Boldin WR, San Francisco
The ageless wonder, Boldin just seems to succeed wherever he goes. If the Titans want to go forward with Locker, surrounding him with Boldin, Walker, Washington, and Wright would be great considering their sure-hands and YAC ability.
5. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB, Denver
DRC is a very good corner when used correctly, and with the Titans likely losing ATV it may be time to add another CB with starting experience. If the Titans hire a defensive minded head coach, DRC could be a cheap addition that they could plug-and-play at the CB position.
