Bill Barnwell takes a detailed look at Jake Locker

Jake Locker led the Titans down the field for a last second victory on Sunday. Now he and his 2-1 Titans are starting to get some national attention.

I am sure most of you are familiar with Grantland.  If you aren't, check it out.  It is a pretty cool site.  Anyway, Bill Barnwell, formerly of Football Outsiders, wrote an extensive piece about Jake Locker today.

Read the whole article.  There is a lot of good stuff in there.  Here is the summation:

What I'll be watching for is that final step Locker has to make to go from being a promising quarterback to a prosperous one. He needs to stop being the guy who can make all the throws and become the guy who does make all of them.

I think that is fair at this point. We have seen him make all the throws. We know he can, but he now needs to do it consistently. That is what is going to take him from being just another quarterback to a really good quarterback. His progression this year leads me to believe that he can do it.
