Titans Training Camp Mailbag - August 1, 2013

I am getting a lot of questions about Titans training camp, so welcome to my first mailbag where I am going to answer some of the most common or interesting questions!

I am getting a lot of questions so I am going to start consolidating the most common and interesting into a mailbag format so that everyone can read. Here are some of the most common questions I am receiving lately.

From StPrattrick

Who is the best wide receiver in your opinion?

Well, I created a bit of a stir when I tweeted out that Justin Hunter was easily the best wide receiver. I do think he has shown the ability to be one of the great wide receivers in the mold of a Randy Moss. However, he isn't the only WR out there making plays as Kenny Britt has also made some big plays. Younger guys like Dontel Watkins, Roberto Wallace, Rashad Ross and Diondre Borel are competing and playing hard in the return game as well.

How has Jake Locker fared?

Overall, I think Locker is settling in and becoming more comfortable in the new offense designed by new Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains. Locker is far from perfect but he is vastly improved from 2012 and the Titans offense looks to feature some new wrinkles. If camp is any indication, the fans are in for a fun year watching this offense.

There was a scout from the Montreal Allouttes in attendance today? What does that mean?

Obviously, not everyone is going to make this roster and there are some good players out on the field. There will be a lot of scouting both officially and AHEM unofficially going on. The Titans will have to cut some good players who hopefully will go on to play elsewhere.

From pretty much everyone

Will Colin McCarthy regain his MLB spot? How has Moise Fokou looked?

Well, today's news on McCarthy's leg wasn't encouraging and that happens right when he is starting to regain his starting spot. It might be too soon for the comparison but I just can't help but think of Peter Sirmon. McCarthy is super talented but as the old saying goes "you can't make the club from the tub." Hopefully he is back on the field soon.

As for Moise Fokou, well he has certainly played well and I have no concerns if he is manning the MLB spot. If McCarthy misses some time, and Gooden is alright, I wonder if we might see Zach Brown gets some snaps at MLB too. Obviously, the health of the linebackers is something to follow closely as a repeat of 2012 would not be good.

Which Titan has the flyest shoes so far?

hhhhmmmmm well now THAT is an interesting question for sure. I did like Shonn Greene's shoes today. Justin Hunter had some kool kicks as well. Coty Sensabaugh has nice style too. Finally, Verner and Campbell rocked some shoes I would love to wear.

I will let the audience vote. Who has the koolest kicks?

Shonn Greene

Tommie Campbell and Alterraun Verner

Coty Sensabaugh

Justin Hunter
