The Tennessee Titans announced today that practices will be closed to the media for the rest of the season. You can read reaction to the decision from David Boclair here and Paul Kuharsky here.
I am inclined to agree with them here. Munchak spending time focusing on whether or not the media is at practice is not helping this team win football games, and at the end of the day (actually at the beginning of the day as well), winning football games is what it is all about.
And more than that, like Boclair really hits on, this team needs all of the attention that it can get. These days with sites like PFT and the NFL Around the League blog, as PK pointed out, local stories can go national in no time. The Titans need more national stories to bring attention to this team and this city. That could help them attract players down the road in free agency, which could lead to winning football games.
