Titans show some looks from the pistol formation

There has been a lot of talk this offseason about what the Titans offense will look like this season. They showed a little bit of a new wrinkle tonight with some looks out of the pistol formation.

So if you were worried about the Dowell Loggains offense looking like the Chris Palmer offense, you can quit worrying about that. Palmer would not have known a pistol formation if it slapped him in the face.

This is also more evidence that this offense really will be tailored to the strengths of Jake Locker. Another report from camp tonight was that the Titans showed some option around the goal line. Loggains spent a lot of time learning from Mike Heimerdinger. One of the things Dinger featured in the offense after Bud Adams made Jeff Fisher insert Vince Young back in the starting lineup was the option. It was pretty deadly with Young and Chris Johnson. There is no reason to think it couldn't be equally as effective with Locker and CJ.
