Earlier this morning the police led Aaron Hernandez away from his home in handcuffs. Not long after that, this tweet came from the New Engalnd Patriots official Twitter account:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>The New England <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Patriots&src=hash">#Patriots</a> have released Aaron Hernandez.</p>— New England Patriots (@Patriots) <a href="https://twitter.com/Patriots/statuses/349894951775125504">June 26, 2013</a></blockquote>

There are a lot of things that I hate about the Patriots, but I really respect them for moving this quickly on this. A lot of teams would wait for the whole thing to play out- especially after investing so much money into a player. The Patriots took about an hour to show him the door.
The police have said that they are not releasing the charge against Hernandez until he is arraigned later today. At this point, I will be a little bit surprised if the charge isn't murder.
