Breaking News: Titans catch big break vs Steelers

Find out which ailing Steeler could miss week one?

Jim Brown-US PRESSWIRE

Heath Miller the consistently dominant tight end of the Steelers may miss the week one match up with the Titans due to knee surgery.

According to a Rotoworld tweet by Evan Silva the Titans may be the beneficiaries of some bad luck by the Steelers.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Pittsburgh Trib-Review says there&#39;s a &quot;strong possibility&quot; Heath Miller (knee) won&#39;t be ready for <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23Steelers&amp;src=hash">#Steelers</a> opener: <a href="http://t.co/McVSsvN1v4">http://t.co/McVSsvN1v4</a></p>&mdash; Evan Silva (@evansilva) <a href="https://twitter.com/evansilva/statuses/346351244018855936">June 16, 2013</a></blockquote>

While it is unfortunate that a player is injured, it does help the Titans chances to win considering how poorly the defense has played against TEs in the past.

That means that if the game were played today the Steelers would be without Mike Wallace and Heath Miller two of their most important offensive weapons over the past two years. The two combined for 135 catches, 1,652 yards, and 16 of the teams 27 receiving touchdowns in 2012.

Also, the Steelers don't have the dominant defense they once had. Former stars like James Harrison are gone now and the aging defense will have to cling to the brilliant defensive schemes that Dick LeBeau dreams up in week one.

Again, it is unfortunate that Heath Miller isn't healing as quickly as he hoped and we wish him the best, but it is great news to a defense that has struggled against that sort of player for the past four years.
