Rang: Five prospects the Titans could look at in the NFL draft

Rob Rang with a good breakdown on the state of the Titans and some guys they could target in the draft.

Rob Rang of CBS Sports has a good write-up on the Titans and identifies some guys they could target in the draft. The first guy on the list is Bjoern Wener. Here is what Rang had to say about Werner:

Adding another versatile pass-rusher to complement Morgan, Wimbley and the club's athletic linebackers makes some sense and Werner, the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, is a proven sack-artist with the consistent production and instincts Webster and coach Mike Munchak appreciate. Pass rushers are clearly a focus for the Titans, as they're reportedly hosting a number of them in private visits, including Oregon's Dion Jordan and LSU's Barkevious Mingo, two ultra-athletic rushers who may be off the board by the time Tennessee is on the clock.

I need someone to sell me on Werner. There is no doubt that he is a good prospect, but he just doesn't look like the #10 pick in the draft to me.

I love the inclusion of Xavier Nixon on that list. The knock on Nixon is his technique, but that is something that Mike Munchak and Bruce Matthews could take care of in a hurry. Rang is right, the Titans need to start thinking about the plan at tackle when David Stewart and Michael Roos are done. Nixon is a project, but that is OK because they don't need anyone to play right away.
