2013 NFL Draft Results: Titans select Blidi Wreh-Wilson

A big corner from UCONN

USA TODAY Sports

With the 70th pick in the draft, the Titans have selected Bildi Wreh-Wilson CB UCONN

Bildi Wreh-Wilson is a big cornerback that can play on the outside at 6'1 195. He fits what the Titans are trying to do in the zone scheme. Wreh-Wilson did some nice things at the Senior Bowl practices. BWW ran a blistering 4.39 40 at his Pro Day to offset any questions he had about his lack of speed. He's not the best man corner but fits as an ideal zone corner.

The UCONN program had two outstanding corners in Dwayne Gratz and Wreh-Wilson. Both were third round picks tonight. Wreh-Wilson was projected to go in this range so the Titans got him where they should have. I really like this pick as it upgrades the corner depth on the team. Wreh-Wilson's size could bump MCM favorite Alterraun Verner into the nickel role where he might be better deployed. BWW has also shown the ability to play free safety in a pinch.
