Doug Farrar of Shutdown Corner has put out a new mock draft, and he has the Titans taking Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU. Here is what Farrar had to say about the pick:
ast year, the Titans selected an explosive athlete in the first round in the person of Baylor WR Kendall Wright. With needs in their defense against the pass and the run, we wouldn't be surprised if they took a flyer on Ansah's rawness from a football perspective, and betted on his pure athletic potential.
It is impossible not to love the upside that Ziggy has, but as we have said many times, this is not a group that can afford to gamble on upside in this draft. This pairing, while it makes sense from a "need" perspective, just doesn't make a lot of sense from a practical perspective.
It would be really bad news for the Titans if the top nine goes like that.
