New on Shutdown Corner: WR Danario Alexander could receive low RFA tender, might be a major bargain http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/report-wr-danario-alexander-could-receive-low-rfa-170219758--nfl.html …
The Chargers had a mental lapse and gave their best receiver an original round tender so in the event that Alexander signs somewhere else, they don't get any compensation for him. Phillip Rivers will miss him badly if he leaves. The Chargers don't have much else at receiver except Robert Meachem. who's getting paid like a #1 but with #3 production. Malcolm Floyd isn't a true #1 either and he misses Vincent Jackson to cover up his lack of speed. The speedster from Missouri should be available for a cheap price since he has serious health issues. Alexander really came on in 2012, becoming Rivers' favorite target.
Should the Titans take look at the 24 year old? Yes they should take a look for the right price. Alexander can blow the top off of a defense with his tremendous speed when healthy. He has comparable speed to Mike Wallace and should be a lot cheaper than what Wallace is demanding. The Titans are missing a true home run threat receiver to complement Nate Washington's possession ability. Kenny Britt is well, brittle and a head case that's just waiting for a chance to screw up off the field once more and Kendall Wright is being miscast. Would I hesitate to dump the likes of Lavelle Hawkins and/or Damian Williams for Alexander? No.
Update:
Per

It looks like the Browns and their beat writers are winning the "let's leak some news, nothing to see here, Mr. Goodell" derby.
