We now find ourselves just hours away from the unofficial opening of free agency. The Titans have already filled one big need with the singing of safety George Wilson. It would be a good idea for them to add another safety or two between the draft and free agency to have some depth and competition for Michael Griffin.
The Titans also need to add a corner. The market for cornerbacks is going to be a buyer's market, so the Titans shouldn't have any trouble adding a third guy that can play outside on nickel downs so that Alterraun Verner could move back inside.
They will also be targeting a guard or two, and the reports are already out there that they will target Andy Levitre. If he has a pulse he will be an upgrade over what they had in the middle last season.
The one thing that people nationally keep talking about for the Titans is a pass rusher. Like cornerbacks, there are going to be a lot of guys on the market that could come in and help the team right away. They were happy with the production they got out of Derrick Morgan and Kamerion Wimbley last season, but they have absolutely no one behind them.
The Titans also need to add a back to spell Chris Johnson, but my guess would be that they address that need in the middle rounds of the draft.
I will post an open thread tonight at 11 central where you can discuss all of the news and rumors that come from the start of the legal tampering period.
