Noles' Weekly Draft Mailbag: Part Dos

It's back!

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

It's back after a reasonably successful debut last week. In this feature, not only can you ask me about the draft but ANY topic can be broached (within certain legal boundaries, of course) and I'll try to answer the question to the best of my ability. I said in last night's MCM Radio chat that I have some news so here it is: There will be a live draft this Saturday starting at 3 PM eastern. I'm sure Deaconbrodie will have more information for you soon about that. I hope everyone's brackets survived reasonably well, mine sure didn't. The USMNT survived a trip to the fabled Estadio Azteca with a draw. The interesting part is that the US somehow didn't allow a goal despite starting 2 central defenders that had a COMBINED SIX total appearances for the national team plus the in form Chicharito firing for Mexico. Onto more relevant football news, the rule changes for the running backs are entirely dumb and a mockery of their health. What the NFL is trying to suggest is that it wants to harken back to the days of upright running styles of Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, and Eric Dickerson. No back will survive a full season running upright these days with defenders ready to knock them out cold. It's also a judgement call like the helmet to helmet rule and should be reviewable. The way Jeff Fisher was allowed back onto the competition committee is a farcical show of the good ol boy's club. It's like a Congressman getting reelected after sitting out an election cycle and being immediately named Senate majority leader. Once you leave the business, your spot is gone and you're supposed to work your way up again, no matter how experienced you are.

You can leave a question in the comments, email me, or send me a tweet. I'm thinking about doing this every Tuesday or Wednesday. Here's how you can reach me:

(note - If you plan on emailing me a question, please label the title with "MCM Mailbag" so I don't accidentally skip over it. Also please state in the email if you want me to post your name when I post the question here. Thank you.)

With all that said, fire away!
