SB Nation has a new mock out, and they have the Titans taking Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida State with the 10th pick. The only reason the Tennessee Titans should take a corner with the 10th pick is if Dee Milliner falls there. Here is why:
Any corner that the Titans take is not going to be an every down player. I have said that they need a third guy so Alterraun Verner can move inside on passing downs, but they aren't drafting a guy here that is going to start over Verner or Jason McCourty, so why would they take a guy like Rhodes?
Here is what Dan Kadar had to say about the pick:
The Titans spent big money on a guard in free agency, filling their biggest need. Now, the team needs to address the secondary. An aggressive, physical cornerback like Xavier Rhodes would be a nice fit in Tennessee. After addressing safety in free agency, the Titans can afford to spend a top 10 pick on a cornerback.
