The Titans are serious about beefing up the interior of their defensive line. Pitoitua is a 6-8 315 pound defensive tackle that is sure to eat up space in the middle of the line. adding a guy that weighs a lot to play somewhere on the defensive line (there, is that better?)
Here is what Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride had to say about him:
Ropati Pitoitua is a beast of a man. I could always pick him out of a crowd of Chiefs players. He served as a solid role player along the Chiefs defensive line last year, especially when Glenn Dorsey went down with an injury. PItoitua's certainly not a superstar -- he's a role player at this point -- but he's got the size you want and can provide solid depth. The Chiefs new regime seemingly didn't show any interest in re-signing him but Chiefs fans would not have minded if he returned to Kansas City. Depending on the money, of course, this looks like a solid move for the Titans.
