2013 MCM Mock Draft: With the 13th pick, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select...

Another defender off the board...

Chris Trotman

With the 13th pick of the 2013 Music City Miracles Mock Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (represented by theDUCKin'Noles10) select:

Desmond Trufant, CB, University of Washington

From theDUCKin'Noles10:

The Buccaneers need a corner even worse the Eagles do. The Redskins recently signed away their starter, EJ Biggers. Eric Wright has been a free agent bust signing from 2012 and ineffective due to injury and regression. Long time veteran Ronde Barber is on his last legs and was converted to safety to minimize his slowing down. Trufant would be an ideal fit because of his skills, natural confidence, and impressive bloodlines. He has so much confidence that he openly challenged North standout WR Markus Wheaton during the Senior Bowl practices and went 50/50 in those duels. In 2012, Trufant's biggest game was against Stanford as he was tasked with covering the Stanford behemoth tight end twins and succeeded. LSU didn't even look his way, preferring to target the Huskies' other corners. The Combine confirmed his first round grade and then some.
