The Titans are going to have depth at the safety position for the first time since the late 1990s. After signing George Wilson before free agency ever started, it is now being reported that they have signed former Ravens safety Bernard Pollard. The deal is reportedly a 1-year deal.

This sets up an interesting training camp battle between Wilson and Pollard to determine who will start opposite Michael Griffin. Last season the Titans didn't have very many training camp battles. That will not be the case this year.

It is interesting that they gave Wilson a two-year deal and only gave Pollard a one-year deal considering Pollard is about three years younger than Wilson. That even more confirms the thought that they brought Wilson in for his leadership skills as much as anything else.
