I try to like Chris Johnson. Really, I do, but he makes it really tough when he says things like he did to Jim Wyatt in this article. Here is part of what he told Wyatt:
“I have never been a big fan of the two-back system, so I don’t know how we plan on using him,” Johnson said casually. “I’m not afraid of competition, but I was thinking we’d maybe get a draft pick for the other back. And you don’t give a guy that kind of money to be just a goal-line guy and in tough-yardage situations. So we’ll see what happens.”So not only is CJ a running back, but he is also a GM. He went on to say:
“And I don’t mind a guy getting a carry or two. But if I am the main guy and it is supposed to be my team … it shouldn’t be an issue.”Well, they tried to let it be your team, but you cannot give them any consistency, and you pick up 3rd and 1 once a season.
And finally:
At the end of the day, I think there’s a chance it could turn into some controversy, but that is nothing to worry about right now. I am hoping for the best.Only one person has the ability to make it a controversy and have it turn out of the best. That is you CJ. So why don't you stop whining about it and get to work? Thanks.
