With the 9th pick of the 2013 Music City Miracles Mock Draft, the New York Jets (represented by DynamicDreadlocks) select:

Ziggy Ansah, DE/OLB, Brigham Young University

I tossed around several different ideas with this pick. The Jets need help at essentially every position. I thought about Tavon Austin (WR), I thought about Xavier Rhodes (CB), I thought about Lane Johnson (OT), I even thought about a QB like Ryan Nassib.

I was planning on selecting Dion Jordan, but it appears I was beaten to the punch. So I'm going with the next best big/fast DE/OLB hybrid kind of guy, Ziggy Ansah.

Ansah is a bit of an enigma, and he might be all hype, but one thing is for sure: He's an athlete, he's a football player (/Gruden'd), and he had some freakish numbers at the combine. Whether or not the Jets run a 3-4 or 4-3, I think this guy can fit the mold for DE/OLB in any defense. The Jets need to get back to having a fearsome defense, and it all starts in the trenches with the pass rush. Ziggy would be a great addition.
