2013 NFL Free Agency: Titans shopping Nate Washington

Reports have surfaced that the Titans are shopping the guy who has been their most consistent receiver the past two years.

Don McPeak-US PRESSWIRE

Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network is reporting that the Tennessee Titans are currently shopping Nate Washington. His name came up as a possible release target when it was reported that there was interest in Mike Wallace, but now it appears they will look to trade him.

I have come to be big fan of Washington, so I will be sad to see him go, but if the Titans are really planning on adding a receiver and moving to more of a two tight end offense, it would make sense to see what they can get for him.

Of course if that is the case, you have to sign a tight end, and while there was a rumor pre-free agency that Dustin Keller would be in play, there hasn't been anything since free agency actually opened.

The scary thing about moving Washington is that he is the only consistent pass catcher this team currently has on the roster. You are putting a lot of faith in Kenny Britt, Kendall Wright and possibly a free agent if Washington is traded. Like I said, scary.

This is a situation to keep a close eye on in the next couple of days.
