Andy Levitre Agrees To Terms With Tennessee Titans

Levitre has been rumored as the Titans #1 target in free agency, and for the first time in a while, they're spending the money to get their guy.

Update:

Per Adam Schefter, The Titans have landed one of the best young Guards in the NFL, Andy Levitre. After three seasons of horrid-to-mediocre play from the interior of the offensive line, Ruston Webster and Mike Munchak vowed to rebuild the unit this offseason. With the pending signing of Levitre, and his scheduled visit tomorrow, they're well on their way to making that happen.

Levitre was the 51st pick of the 2009 draft after a stand-out career at Oregon State, and finished his rookie season on the NFL's All-Rookie team. Since entering the league he's started all sixteen games in each of his four years. He's generally seen as one of the best pass blocking guards in the game, and his run blocking continues to improve each year. Under the tutelage of HOFers Munchak and Matthews, the sky is the limit for Levitre as a Titan.

Once Levitre is on board, we'll still have one more offensive line starting spot open. It'll be interesting to see if the front office turns its attention to the Packers' Evan Dietrich-Smith, or follow popular wisdom and fill that spot in the draft. Either way, the Titans are sure to field an O-line you can win a Super Bowl with, finally.
