2013 NFL Mock Draft

The combine workouts are starting to shake up mock drafts.

Kevin C. Cox

The mock draft process is very fluid. People start doing mock drafts before the draft order is even set. Then the order is set and they do different mocks. Then the combine happens and "shakes things up." Then free agency happens and everyone starts all over.

The first evidence of that is shown in this week's mock from SB Nation. In this one, Fairburn has Sheldon Richardson as the first overall pick, which is interesting, but not impossible. He has the Titans taking Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida with the 10th pick.

I wouldn't hate that pick, but insert line here about how it would be a travesty to pass on Warmack.

Floyd has been shooting up boards, and a lot of the "draft guys" that I trust have him as the best defensive tackle in this draft. I would rather have him than Kenny Vaccaro.

Here is what Fairburn said about the pick:

The unfortunate news about Star Lotulelei's heart condition shakes up the top of the draft. Until we know more details, it's tough to put him in the first round. Sharrif Floyd fills the void in this mock. The quick, penetrating defensive tackle is starting to get a ton of attention. He still sits behind Sheldon Richardson in my defensive tackle rankings, but it's close. The Titans could use his versatility on their defensive line.
