NFL Free Agency 2013: Tennessee Titans agree to terms with George Wilson

The Titans fill two huge holes with the signing of George Wilson.

Jim Wyatt just tweeted, and the team has since confirmed, that the Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with free agent safety George Wilson. As I said before, this is a really, really good move for this team. Wilson's play might have declined a little bit last season, but he is a huge upgrade over what the Titans currently have at safety, and he brings leadership to the locker room- something the Titans desperately need.

Here is the press release from the Titans.

Here is what Ruston Webster had to say about the signing:

“George is a quality veteran player,” said Titans general manager Ruston Webster. “He will contribute for us on the field, but his contributions also will come off the field, in the locker room and in the meetings rooms. He was respected as a football player and a leader during his career in Buffalo, and he will bring that veteran presence to our team.”

This signing proves that the Titans are going to be active in free agency this season. That is a welcome change!

[UPDATE]- Ian Rapport says the deal is two years $4 million with incentives that could take it up to $5. Nice work Ruston!
