So yesterday, Evan Silva tweeted the following;
ESPN's Adam Schefter also said the
#Ravens may "very well" have to release Anquan Boldin after SBXLVII for cap reasons:http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/2078/anquan-boldin …
I don't think I can explain how happy this would make me if the Titans were to pick him up. He's a good veteran presence and a really really solid possession receiver. I absolutely love his physicality and he's a fantastic 3rd down option. Anyway, onto the links.
Derrick Mason picks the Ravens to win the Super Bowl. Can't say I'm surprised since he played for them...
Titans Online does another "Where are they Now?" article. This time with former Oilers' safety Ken Houston.
PK reviews Randy Moss' time with the Titans, and compares Moss' production this year with current Titan Damian Willams'.
Scott Fujita says that Gregg Williams will have to overcome substantial obstacles if he wants to be successful with the Titans.
PFF ranked our line as the 14th best O Line in the league. I find that really surprising. However it says this about our line;
If you were to describe the Titans’ line as a quarterback’s best friend, and a unit that had a rocky relationship with their running back you wouldn’t be far wrong. The investment in Steve Hutchinson was a bad one, though Fernando Velasco proved himself an upgrade at center. As ever though, the tackles personified this line. Excellent in pass protection and very ‘meh’ in the run game.
The solution to this is drafting Warmack, he'd instantly upgrade our run blocking as he's known as a road grader, and he's no slouch in pass pro. Seriously if he's there, it makes too much sense not to take him, it's a match made in heaven.
PFF also put out it's All-Sophomore team, and DT Jurrell Casey makes the team as the NT in a 3-4 base. They give him this praise;
In the middle, Casey is one of these guys who could work in any scheme. Exceptionally strong and often requiring two guys to slow him down, if you leave him one-on-one he will get off blocks and make plays.
One Titan made the All-Rookie team, and it was Mike Martin, our impressive Rookie tackle. Clearly DT is a young position of strength for us.
NFL.com presents their Top 10 Superbowl plays of all time. I would recommend that everyone skip #9.
Greg Roman, the 9ers Offensive Coordinator says there is no Pistol Offense, and he's right.
Apparently Andy Reid, the new HC of the Chiefs is interested in getting Alex Smith. That means that they would possibly take Joeckel at #1 overall, and someone else would get in on the Geno sweepstakes (if you can call them that).
