The Titans defense will face their toughest task of the season, after arguably their best performance all year. If the Titans are going to throw a wrench in the high-powered offense of the Broncos and Peyton Manning, then these three need to step up.
Michael Griffin
You had a great hit that shouldn't have been a suspension, nothing you can do about that now. The only thing that you should be focused on is wrapping up Demaryius Thomas on screens, stopping Wes Welker underneath, making sure Decker doesn't beat you over the top, and catching any errant Peyton Manning passes. It is a big task to be the free safety against Manning, and I'm sure that you remember that if you don't do it well Peyton will make you look like a fool on national television.
Jurrell Casey
Another Titans player closing in on a record spanning two decades, Casey needs to have a big day. If the Titans can get nice pressure up the middle on Peyton Manning they can make him uncomfortable, and everyone in Tennessee knows how important that is in beating Manning. A sack early, or extra attention would be great for a defense that should be attacking most of the day, and it could mean the difference of giving the Broncos the momentum early or keeping it close.
Coty Sensabaugh
Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner are the best tandem of cornerbacks in the league, I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone with football knowledge that would argue against that. However, one of the things that the Broncos, Patriots, Saints, etc. do it they find your weakest corner and attack him. With that in mind, Sensabaugh will likely be locked up on Wes Welker for most of the day. While Sensabaugh is one of the better nickel CBs in the league, everyone struggles with Welker at times, it is just about limiting the number of times that it happens. If Sensabaugh can hold Welker under five catches, I think Titans fans should consider that a win.
