As I write this, the current temperature in Nashville, TN is 75 degrees. Denver, CO is sitting at a balmy 11 degrees with a windchill of 2. That's right, 2 degrees.
The Titans are reeling after a 4 turnover game and handing their division rival their 4th straight win playing head to head. Now they have to head west and take on the old gang leader of their division rival as he marches his new team into the playoffs.
There's been a bit of talk around the league about Peyton Manning's arm, his decreased grip and/or strength, and his decline in ability when the weather the turns cold. Titans fans know all too well that their entire teams ability or desire to even be on the field declines when the weather turns cold.
You may have buried this deep, but I will remind you of the blizzardy blowout by the Patriots in 2009 that resulted in a 59-0 drubbing.
Not recent enough for you? Well how about last years 55-7 shalacking by the Green Bay Packers on the eve of Christmas eve?
This game reeks of a very very bad situation for the Titans. The Broncos are good. Really good. Peyton Manning has owned the Titans for years. And now Mother Nature is laughing as well. It will be interesting to see if Munchak's Titans can keep focused and keep the game close against a superior team, or if they will look like they just want the game to be over so they can go inside.
