The Titans have really screwed up the Alterraun Verner situation so far. They tried to replace him for two years in training camp while he just kept making plays. From what has been reported, there haven't been any contract talks with him while he played out the final year of his rookie deal.
So it is not surprise that ATV said after the game today he will test the free agent market. That usually doesn't end well for the Titans. To their credit, they haven't made the wrong call on many guys, but they have undervalued Verner from the start.
Greenlaw said on Twitter that the Titans keeping Mike Munchak and losing ATV would be the worst case scenario. I couldn't agree more.
Verner says he will definitely test the open market in free agency this offseason but not shutting the door on staying w/ #Titans.
