I am now 0-4 at Titans games so you can pin the loss on me if you'd like. Thats fine. The reality is, that the Titans played sloppy football on offense, and had key mental lapses on special teams and defense. The muffed punt was the first turnover of the year and killed us early, but so did 5 straight 3 and outs and no first downs until midway through the second quarter. Those things can not happen. For the life of me I will not understand why running outside the tackles wasn't in the game plan, a chink in the armor of the KC defense that we didn't exploit. I understand the frustration with the Fokou penalty but the game wasn't won or lost there and in reality that should be called. I'd want that called if Locker was getting hit there. Fokou needs to push him instead of tackle in that situation. Britt was terrible and Fitzpatrick was shaky. His best plays were results of broken plays when he had to scramble or do a little flip pass to CJ. One play call that stood out to me that made me so pissed off was on 1st and 10 to start a drive at like the 30 yard line we went to our Jumbo set with Jackie Battle in the backfield and predictably ran it right up the middle. For no gain, predictably.
The Titans had momentum but let it slip through their fingers. They had the game but couldn't finish.
Here is the presser from the post game. They should be disappointed and it needs to be fixed.
Climer says the Titans need Locker back as soon as possible.
Titans can't run the football and there are no excuses. The O line should be great at run blocking but it isn't. CJ needs to make more and Shonn Greene can't come back soon enough.
Titans game was full of missed opportunities. They need to rectify these mistakes ASAP.
Paul Kuharsky says that the call against Fokou is going to happen and the Titans need to deal with it.
It was ugly for Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was also the leading rusher for the Titans yesterday.
Titans offensive line has been offensive at times. Rob Turner is still not any better at shotgun snaps.
Britt should not see the playing field.
