So Rob Turner's shoulder injury escalated quickly. He fully participated in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before the 49ers game but was limited on Friday. He ended up being inactive for the game (which I completely missed). Now he has been placed on IR.
This does mean there is no reason for Brian Schwenke to be looking over his shoulder. The job is his for the rest of the year.
Pat McQuistan is a journeyman who has been with at least 5 teams in the last 5 years.
