2013 AT&T COTTON BOWL
When: Friday January 4, 2013 8 PM FOX
Who: (9) Texas A&M vs (11) Oklahoma
Where: Dallas, TX Cotton Bowl
2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel leads the Aggies against the powerhouse Sooners in a match of old Big 12 foes. The Cotton Bowl has been one of the best non BCS bowls over the years and I expect the same this year. The Aggies are led on defense by a stud junior DE/LB Damontre Moore. He has already declared for the draft, making this a final audition of sorts for the NFL. When the Aggies are on offense, Manziel can rely upon two future NFL OL in Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews to keep his jersey clean. Senior WR Ryan Swope is Johnny Football's main target. The Sooners, while not as heavy on prospects as in years past, still have a few worth mentioning. Senior QB Landry Jones has suffered quite a fall down the boards and will look to rebound his stock. Jones' buddy on offense, junior WR Kenny Stills declared for the draft as well. Stills has a ways to go in order to be drafted before Round 3 due to the top heavy WR class in front of him. Meanwhile, the defense is led by junior S Tony Jefferson. He's jack of all trades safety and one of the best in a loaded 2013 class. Jefferson has also declared early.
