The Gillette Facebook debate for this week is Which Player Has Performed Against All Odds This Season? That sounds like the Comeback Player of the Year award, and that is going to be a very interesting debate this season. Usually there is a plenty clear cut winner for that award, but this year there are two very deserving players: Adrian Peterson and Peyton Manning.
I vote AP because I hate Peyton Manning more than any player in the NFL. Plus the fact that Peterson was just nine yards short of setting the all-time rushing record in less than a year after tearing his ACL. He was almost 100% from the start of the season. That is nothing short of remarkable.
The case for Peyton is pretty obvious as well. He missed an entire year and had multiple surgeries on his neck, but came back this season to be ever bit as good as before.
