Dan Kadar put out a new mock draft yesterday, and he has the Tennessee Titans taking Alabama guard Chance Warmack. This has obviously been a connection that a lot of people are making lately, but it is a bit of a switch from the Mocking the Draft mocks because they have had the Titans taking Ezekial Ansah. Either guy would fill a need, but Warmack is a much safer pick.
As I have said before, you take Warmack and you have one of your guard spots locked down for a decade.
Here are Kadar's comments on the pick:
The Titans have three free agents at guard and Steve Hutchinson is 35 years old. Warmack is among the handful of best players in the draft this year. He's a stellar run blocker and could help make Chris Johnson and even more dangerous rusher.
If they are going to keep CJ on the roster, and all signs are that they are, they need to get a quality line in front of him. Taking Warmack would be a huge step in the right direction.
