This is pretty surprising news, but news that I am very glad to see. Williams and Mike Munchak worked together on Jeff Fisher's staff, and Jerry Gray worked for Williams here and in Buffalo.
This move would still be pending the NFL re-instating Williams, but that seems like a pretty sure thing based on the news that was reported the other day.
Williams might not be a huge upgrade from Gray, but it will be good to have another set of eyes on the defensive side of the ball. The fact that these two have worked together before should mean there won't be a chemistry issue with Williams being added to the staff.
