Marcus Lattimore is one of the most intriguing prospects in this draft. He would have been an early first round pick if it was not for the devastating knee injury he suffered during the season. Watching that live, it was tough to imagine he would be playing again anytime soon.
Well Lattimore was walking around Senior Bowl practice today, and Andy Staples said he was doing so without a limp. Lattimore even said, according to Staples, that his goal is to play in week one of the 2013 NFL season.
You will remember a similar situation with Willis McGahee when he was coming out of Miami. There was a lot of questions about where he would be drafted until the Buffalo Bills selected him with the 23rd pick in the draft.
Depending on what Lattimore is able to do between now and April, it is not out of the question that he could end up being a first round pick. The success of Adrian Peterson this season should really help Lattimore's stock.
If I were the Titans, I wouldn't spend a first or second on Lattimore, but I would be awfully tempted if he was still sitting there in the third.
