Since I had to cheer for Peyton Manning in that first game, I figured a picture of the 1997 Heisman Trophy Winner was in order for this thread. I still remember exactly where I was standing when my dad called me and told me Woodson had won. It was one of the happiest days of my life.
Anyway, this game should be really entertaining because you get to see strength on strength- Aaron Rodgers against one of the league's best defenses.
These two teams played all the way back in week one with the 49ers winning 30-22. Rodgers threw it 44 times in that game for 303 yards.
Another story line that is pretty much forgotten about in this game is that 49ers took Alex Smith #1 overall instead of Rodgers. Now Rodgers is one of, if not the, best quarterack(s) in the league, and Smith is holding a clipboard.
