Jim Wyatt is reporting that the Titans have relieved LB coach Frank Bush of his duties. Bush was hired by Jerry Gray/Mike Munchak two years ago. He had previously been the Texans defensive coordinator but was fired after leading a terrible defense.
There is really no reason to argue with this move because everyone on the defensive side of the ball should be fired, but the linebackers came along pretty well this season. Zach Brown exceeded almost everyone's expectations and has the chance to turn into a dynamic player.
Akeem Ayers also made some huge steps this season, but I guess you could argue that most of that was as a pass rusher- not necessarily a linebacker.
The good news here is that there is finally a chance on the defensive side of the ball. The bad news is that Gray still has his job and there is no reason to believe that he will be fired at this point.
