Through two games Chris Johnson has 19 carries for 21 yards. At least he is on pace to break 100 yards for the season now. I know that the contract they gave Chris Johnson is not the reason this team is so bad this year, but for some reason that contract is making me just as mad as anything else.

Why? Because it is just stupid to give a running back that kind of money in today's NFL. You can find a running back just about anywhere. There is no reason to make one the highest paid player on your team.

I am also infuriated because they have done nothing to give him a serviceable offensive line. They basically just flushed that money down the toilet by not putting anyone in front of him that can block. Nice decision.

Realizing that a team you had high hopes for isn't very good is a tough thing, and there are so many things wrong with this team that it is impossible to lay the blame on any one decision. This is just the one that was really bothering me today.
